Kailash - Gurla Mandhata region of south-western Tibet at 1:100,000 on a waterproof and tear-resistant, double-sided, GPS-compatible map from the Technical University of Dresden, with vivid presentation of the topography through contours, relief shading and colouring plus graphics for different types of vegetation and terrain (shrub, wetland, glaciers, crevasses, etc).
Coverage extends from Lake Gyuma north-east of the peak of Kailash, across the Langat Tso (Rakshas Tal) and Mapham Yumtso (Manasrovar Lake) lakes and the peak of Gurla Mandhata, to Purang/Taklakot and beyond it to the Hilsa/Yulsa crossing to Nepal. The map shows trekking trails and the ascent to the peak of Kailash, with symbols indicating various facilities including different accommodation options (hotels, lodges, ashrams, etc), banks, internet access, shops, permit checkpoints, etc. The map has what appears to be 2-km UTM grid lines (no coordinates are provided), plus latitude and longitude margin ticks at 10' intervals. Map legend is in German and English. Current edition of this title was published in winter 2014.
