Covering 125 square miles (80,000 acres), it stretches about 150 miles from the Canadian border to the Grand Coulee Dam, with over 600 miles of shoreline. The lake was formed by the largest concrete structure in the world, the Grand Coulee Dam, primarily for the purpose of power production.
